Porcelain slab-built vessels

Inlaid with native clay, slips, and oxides. Gas-fired to 1220·

Native clay

Slab-built vessels in native clay dug from our pond. The clay is soaked and processed by sieving to eliminate larger particles and stones. The clay is mixed with varying proportions of porcelain to create a manageable clay body for hand building.

Some of these pieces are fired to a lower temperature (1200 ·) resulting in a warm red colour and softer feel.
